Is it just us, or does every summer seem to get busier and busier? This August has been a whirlwind considering that Lori Jolin Design, LLC. just picked up a entire home design job in Middleton. This is a brand new project that is keeping us on our toes. Not only that, but we are working on three other projects as well that include bathrooms, kitchens, fireplaces, and everything in between!

For one of the kitchen projects we are currently working on, we are looking to get creative and try to work with new materials to create the ultimate counter top. Not to give it all away, but it includes using clear acrylic over a range of fun materials and textures to create a counter that looks more like an art piece rather than a kitchen basic. Accessibility and Universal Design

We want to thank everyone who made it out to the NARI 2012 Home Tour this past weekend. We had an amazing turnout with over 50 people at our site alone!

Many people who stopped by were very interested in the accessible design elements that our home offered. Just some of the design features that made our site so special included a custom roll-in shower with a tiled bench, expanded doorways, self-opening front and back entry doors, and a custom roll-out cabinet in the bathroom.
